This twisted tale of desire and regret gurgled into life in Belo Horizonte, as an evocative, tribal bassline. The rest was composed on the southeast coast of Ireland. The dark, moody vocals on the track underscore the subject matter but find balance and warmth in the textured synth landscape. The track has a 90s, chillhop aesthetic and was mixed and mastered by Tonebox.
lyrics
Lyrics:
Ripped up and I'm ready to go, living at the end of a rope
Leaves some scars but the girl in the car's bringing the hustle for her turn to blow
Open your eyes innocent child, tell me can you suffer the knife
My, my, stack 'em up high, every single muscle must be tight
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
Big cheese, pick a pretty one for me. Heaven at the end of a rope
Go so far you can never go back, haunted by the shadow of a ghost
The jelly won't come til they double the dose, check your coat at the door
The ferryman know what the ferryman know, he won't take it but he'll watch the show
Just a little show, just a little taste of the show, just a little show, just until we're ready to go, just a little show, just a little taste of the show
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
Inside a dream, a life without sin, oh child, oh child
Its a love scene, a win for the bad team, oh child, oh child
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
You don't know what you do baby, where you go I cannot follow
Taste of my regret, sour, dry mouth, bitter morning
Another man lies sleeping in my bed
Had a chance to crack open wide your darkroom data
I chose to leave that stone unturned. I left that stone unturned
